Preferring Party Packages

10:58:00 PM
Commonly parents intend to celebrate kids’ birthday parties in the comfort of their house. They are the ones who prepare the food, decorate the food, plan the programs, pick up the cakes, call and coordinate with the clowns or magicians. Yes! They all do this in order to lessen the expenses and give the entire party with a personal touch or should we say a parental touch. Yes those are good but consider the hassle, the rush and the stress of the preparation that parents undergo. Plus the aftermath of parties like cleaning and dish washing. All can be really stressful. Instead of preparing for the party and be glamorous in welcoming the guests parents are tormented and looked haggard. By the end of the party parents are already harassed.

Now, there are different establishments and food companies that are offering party packages for different events and occasions. They have different ranges and varieties depending on the demand of the customers. Some of them can be cheap but classy and others are expensive and extravagant like a feast in the royal palace. So there are many packages to choose from. Also some of them offers their function rooms as well and as part of the package together with the sound system. This is to keep their customers satisfied about their packages.

Why choose party packages? There are advantages on why people, especially moms, should hold their parties on establishments or food companies that offers party packages.
  1. Party packages offer a variety of food that parents can choose from. Then can be a meal set, by cuisine, or just simply by buffet depending on the range of the budget.
  2. They offer customers the opportunity to stretch their budget and provide the best food within that amount. So the problem of budgeting will be ease off from you.
  3. Physical arrangements are often included in the packages. Most establishments that offer these packages provide almost everything that the party needs like the mascots, programs, games, physical arrangements, and the sound system.
  4. Party packages give more time for the parents to prepare for themselves without the stress in preparing the party.
  5. They can also ease the host in cleaning the mess after the party.
  6. Party packages are worry free. All you have to do is worry about the payment.

These are just some of the adventures and the comfort that party packages can offer. Take it and flash off those party hassle.

The Wealthy Farmer

7:38:00 AM
Are there anyone playing Farmville? Of course and for sure most of the users of Facebook do play Farmville or have played it. Farmville is an online game which was developed by Zynga. It’s a simulation game of how and what do farmers do in their farm, what they plat, what they raise and even how they operate the whole farm. It is quite interesting that Zynga develop a game some thing like this which focuses on farm living. It doesn’t only help city people realize the work inside the farm but also the attitude of giving value not only to farm products but also by giving great respect to farmers. Without them there will no food for us to eat.

There’s always a negative notion about farmers and farming. Most people thought that being a farmer is poor and there’s no way to improve one’s life. Well, that thought should be deemed and vanished from anyone’s thought because to be precise farmers are far wealthier than us, city people who always make fun of their appearance and their way of living.

Yes! Farmers are wealthier than us who lived in the city. They are wealthier almost in all aspect. Why? Well here are some of the reasons.

  1. Farmers are wealthier in terms of assets. So what are his assets? The farmer has hectares of land to plant with. Most of them are owned. He has livestocks that he raises and the numbers can really increase every time they reproduce or mate. He has fresh vegetables which he can sell tot eh market and don’t forget that they do have their savings in the bank.
  2. When it is about their health, it’s rare that they got sick and went to the doctor. If they got sick they can easily recover because of the fresh ambiance, fresh food, and their strong immunity.
  3. When it comes to friends, these farmers got lots of friends. They are wealthy in friends. Mostly each farmer knows everyone in the barrio or in a town. They are well acquainted with each other. That is why when someone needs help most of the people in the town or barrio will be there to help. This is common to Filipinos and they call this “bayanihan”.

The farmer’s life style is simple if they want it to be simple. They can also be extravagant if they want to. They can simply make their life a little more from what their present status is. In other words farmers do really are wealthy in all aspect compare to the people living in the city. It is really sad to know that most of the kids and teens from the farm would rather be in the city than in the farm. They don’t have any idea that they are wealthier than the city people. For those farm kids or teens who have realized the value of being a farmer I admire you for that and a salute to you all.

Clean Plate

11:28:00 PM
This is not about home and household tips nor about dining or kitchen wares but instead it is about economic issue and an environmental as well. How many people do you know that always keep their meal consumed with no leftover and their plates are clean, in a sense? Maybe you’ll think and say quite a few or none at all. I do get that response mostly because to them, leaving your plate clean is something odd for them. There are quite few people who do consume their meal and most of them I think are well aware of the problem, economically and environmentally.

On restaurants and fast food chains you’ll find that there are lots of foods being taken for granted. There are leftovers everywhere and this are all put into the trash leaving it for the consumption of stowaway cats, dogs, rats, cockroach, and other insects or animals which consumes leftovers. Though these scavengers like eat this, still, these are foods that are wasted. I know that it’s the individuals prerogative to consume it all or not but to think of it, at least they should have thought of the process how it is produced.

Foods pass through a long series of production cycle. This involves not only man but the whole environment. One good example is the rice production. Rice is one of the common foods consumed by man and planting it is really hard takes time to produce it. The process starts in watering and cultivating the land. It takes days to till the land. Once it is ready, rice seeds are tossed in the nursery area and waited till leaves sprout out from it. After that they are planted on the tilled land, giving spaces for the rice plant to grow perfectly. Then farmers wait for three to four months till harvest time. Rice grains are harvested and run through a machine to peel of the rice grain coating. Then that’s the time that they are sold to market. The whole environment is involved in the production of rice. That’s not the only process that the food passes through. From the farm to the market, from the market to the restaurants, and from the restaurants it is cooked by the chef and later on served to the consumers. Imagine how long the process is and then people just waste those precious grains. Rice is only taken as the subject but generally all foods undergo with the same process. So foods should not be considered as a mere commodity that we consumed but as one of the precious materials and a life giving source of this world.

Just always think of the process how they are produced. Maybe you’ll understand why we shouldn’t waste any food. You’ll never know how long will this world’s resources will last. So as long as there are enough resources on this world lets make it worth consume what we can and don’t waste anything. There are lots of people die in hunger just think about them.

Learning Life: Smile and Laughter

1:14:00 PM

What is more pleasing to see in the morning? Well, what else but a beautiful smile from the people you love and the people around you. Smile is like a contagious disease that can easily spread to everybody. Not only that it is contagious but it is also like a steroid that can boost one’s self esteem and energy. When everything seems down and hopeless one smile is good enough to ease and lighten up everything. It gives hope and casts a bright radial feeling through the darkest moment of a person.

A smile can also attract good vibes and positive energy. Leaving a positive effect to everyone it touches making the entire day worth living unlike the loner who won’t give and get any good vibes into your life. Learn to smile and make it a habit. If you want your day to be fruitful and pleasant, give a smile in the morning and everything will just be fine.

Aside from smile there’s also one that can really make you livelier. Laughter is one of human attributes that can make any person feel better. Laughter or laugh can exercise your facial muscle and even some parts of the body. Laughter is well known for the phrase “Laughter is the best medicine”. Scientifically it is proven that laughter can really boost man’s ability to heal itself. There are a certain glands in the human body that excretes something to help in the fast recovery of the patients.

Life is sweet if those smile and laughter are seen to every person in the world. Just like what I’ve experienced in my life, a smile from my son’s face can easily ease all my worries and body aches. A smile from my wife can really brighten my day. Both of them teach me the meaning of smile and laughter. Both of them give me a boost to move forward in facing all the problems in life.

Others may have tried to buy their laughter but nothing can beat or replace the genuine laugh from a genuine event that caused the laughter, especially the laugh of a little kid, the giggles and laugh of a baby, and laugh of a wife when cuddled.

For what ever reason we all need to smile and we all need to laugh. It’s either to ease the load or just simply to laugh and smile. That is life and that’s we experienced.

Recycling Tips: Styrofoam

3:57:00 PM
If you’re observant enough you’ll notice that most appliances, electronic devices, gadgets and other materials or equipment that people are using now are using Styrofoam to support them and avoid any damages. These Styrofoam are not biodegradable materials. I don’t have any idea on how long will it take to decompose and become part of the reach soil but it is for sure long.

Today, there are great changes about these big companies of appliances and electronic gadgets. They are now answering the call of Mother Earth. They are now little by little lessening their use of Styrofoam while others are eradicating it and they are switching to recycled boards and papers. Recycled boards and paper can also hold and support their products just like how the Styrofoam does it. It is nice to hear that companies are now learning to recycle and reuse to save and conserve the natural resources.

Now, since Styrofoam is non-biodegradable material how can we recycle and reuse something like this? Well, there are different ways and scheme. We just need to be creative and imaginative. As long as we know that our main goal is to recycle and reuse. Here are some ways that can be done about Styrofoam.

  1. Being creative can really be of help in conceptualizing ideas on how to use Styrofoam material again. One idea is to use it as garden pots. Just scrape off the inner portion of the Styrofoam to make it as a basin or make it more likely of a pail so that we can put the garden soil and plats in it. Just make sure to put holes at the bottom. This is to prevent drowning from water and for the excess water or unused water to sip through. Second idea is to use it as cork board. If the Styrofoam is flat and equally leveled you can easily use it as a cork board and post important reminders and papers on it. A little creativity, design and frame to hold the Styrofoam plus the pushpins then viola you have your own cork board. Third idea is if you like creating and making sculptures and miniature designs, you can easily use Styrofoam as one of the materials in creating your masterpiece.
  2. If you’re not creative but you are imaginative you can use the Styrofoam as a useful tool inside the house. You can use it as a support to your appliances. Edges and corners of big appliances can really scratch vinyl tiles and materials like it. So in order to avoid it, just try using the Styrofoam as a support, protector, and stopper. Also if Styrofoam is big and large you can easily use it as a leverage to elevate your home appliances especially when there’s flood.
  3. You can also use it as a sealing material to cover those tiny little holes on the roof. I’m not really sure if there’s any bad effect or if it is harmful but my father tried using it as a sealant by mixing gasoline with it. It melts when mixed with gasoline and becomes a sticky material that can be use to patch and cover those tiny holes.
  4. Last if you don’t have any ideas on how to reuse and recycle Styrofoam materials just simply look for companies or establishments that recycle Styrofoam materials. Send it to them instead of having it in your home acquiring dirt and possible breeding area of mosquitoes. You’ll even get paid if they are paying for that.
These are some of the ideas and ways on how to recycle and reuse Styrofoam materials. You can even add more ideas if you have any. Mother Earth sure needs us and by just simply doing little things can make big changes.

Recycling Tips: Plastic

8:44:00 PM
Plastics are widely used, from simple households to multi-million dollar companies. With the present situation of the world, plastic is considered threat to the environment. I don’t have any statistics confirming of how many people are using plastic daily but there’s one that is for sure, most people in the world use it, specially industrialized countries. This material is not easily decomposed. It takes twenty to twenty five years or even more before they are decomposed and become part of the sustainable soil. With the present threat of plastic, large companies are now programming their use of plastic, others are little by little reducing their consumption, and others are acquiring or are now using decomposable plastics which come from special material that can be stale.

So as an individual how can we help reduce the use of plastic? There are different ways that an individual can help in this campaign.
  1. Reuse plastic. Since most of our activities now involve plastics, we can at least reuse some of the plastic that we get when we do our groceries. These plastics are still in good condition and can still hold or carry items. Try to fold them neatly and place them in jars or containers. In this manner not only that you keep it organized, you also keep them away from acquiring bacteria and dirt. Also it will not be mistaken for a trash.
  2. Reduce the use of plastics. When going to the grocery or any convenient store, try to bring with you your own container or bags. Or if you can carry it with your bare hands just simply inform the bagger that you’ll not be using any plastic. This is one way of reducing it also. Some grocery stores are also now reducing their consumption of plastic bags by having one day of the week that they will not use any plastic. Meaning when you go to this grocery you should bring your own bags.
  3. Recycle plastic by being creative. If you’re an artist and art is your passion, you can simply help recycle plastic by creating beautiful crafts and arts. Out of this used plastics you can at show your creativity. Also there are cooperatives that have already recycling program as part of their livelihood. They are not only recycling but they are also making a profit out of those recycled materials for their families. If you’re not that creative at least try to use those plastic marked with bio-degradable logo in disposing bio-degradable wastes. Or if you just want to dispose it, just simply go to any recycling areas.

Learning Life: Patience

7:38:00 PM
We always face different facts about life. Some of them are beneficial and some are lessons to learn. Living life is not as simple as we think of it. There are ups and downs that we need to deal with. As I was growing or should I say acquiring numbers on my age, there are things that I learn in life.

We all need to learn and most of the time experiences are the best teacher in life. Of course our parents did teach us when we were kids, they have been our teacher most of our existence. But there are things that need to be experienced to realize the effect of that certain actions and decisions.

Now, for this article of life, I’ll be sharing the one virtue in life that can and will really help you in your struggle in life. It is Patience. I don’t know if most of the people know about this phrase that “Patience is a virtue”. There are many definition of virtue but all of them only focus on a certain meaning and it is the moral excellence and righteousness or goodness of man. Before this, I didn’t actually know why patience is considered as virtue all I know is that being patient can really reward you better ones.

As I was walking through this life stream, my way of thinking has been sharpened by time and events. Indeed patience is a virtue because we have to endure the splashing waves of problems that we encounter. Making us more cautious in all our decisions and avoiding us to jump into action. As a result a rewarding turns of events because of just being patient enough to wait.

One good example is how the guerilla became known of their tactics. They were able to accomplish their missions because they are patient enough to wait for the right timing. Enduring distraction and focusing only one thing on their mind, to complete their task. Other good examples are the mothers. I praise them for their patience in bearing their child. Imagine having that baby inside the womb for nine months which grows bigger and bigger as they click the clock to come out of that womb. The reward is priceless.
Other examples are our prayers, if we’re not prayerful enough and we are impatient none of those prayers will be answered because we intend to rush everything but if we’re patient enough to wait, the answer is much greater than what we have asked for. God doesn’t only sprinkle us with blessing instead He showers us with abundance.
